About myself

Petro Benson; Wife, mother, your photographer

Many people ask me what my motivation was to become a photographer, and the answer is quite simple: I love taking photos, but at the same time, I love being a mom. Being a mom, however, comes with many other responsibilities, such as attending school activities and spending quality time with my family. My love for photography ultimately led to the establishment of Benson Photography.

Photography is more than just another picture on the wall, phone, or computer. When I think of photography, the first thing that comes to mind is the family portraits you always see hanging above the fireplace in movies. As a result, I firmly believe that photography is a way of making a moment last. A famous quote comes to mind: “We take photos as a return ticket to a moment otherwise gone.”. This couldn’t be truer, considering we never know which moment might be the last we share with someone we love.

Family is special and we must always cherish moments with them like gold.

But even more than just time with family, one must never forget that a strong portrait can help you remember that you are indestructible, strong, and beautiful. Most women have hectic lives juggling work, children, and household chores. In their mind, they forget about themselves and how special they are. That’s where I come in. My passion is to capture your beauty, easily translated to I would love to bring out the “you” other people see when they look at you. The “you” that is beautiful beyond comparison.

My journey away from Event Photography

Stepping beyond event photography, I’ve expanded into Boudoir, capturing your inner radiance. Read the blog post to learn more about my transformation to Embrace Boudoir Photography. As special clients come along there are times that that I would still capture images of a special event like a wedding or engagement.
